Cole Mitchell Sprouse (born August 4, 1992) is an American actor. Cole started acting alongside his identical twin brother, Dylan Thomas Sprouse. They were often referred to as the Sprouse Bros. and Sprouse brothers. Cole’s first major theatrical film role (with Dylan) was in the 1999 comedy, Big Daddy. Cole is perhaps best known for his role as Ben Geller in the television series Friends, and as Cody Martin in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.

Cole was born in Arezzo, Italy, to American parents Melanie Wright and Matthew Sprouse (while they were teaching in Tuscany). Cole is named after the jazz singer and pianist, Nat King Cole. Dylan is 15 minutes older than Cole.

At the age of eight months, Cole began acting with Dylan. This was following a suggestion from their grandmother, Jonine Booth Wright. They first appeared in a commercial, and at eight months, they portrayed a single character, Patrick Kelly, on the television series Grace Under Fire.

In 1999, Cole appeared in his first major theatrical film role (with Dylan), Big Daddy. They were nominated for multiple awards for their role in the film. In 2001, Cole appeared in the NBC television show Friends, as Ross Geller’s son, Ben. Both Cole and Dylan appeared in I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus and Just for Kicks.

Dylan and Cole portrayed identical twins, Zack and Cody Martin, in the Disney Channel series, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. The series debuted in 2005, and it became a ratings success. After The Suite Life of Zack & Cody ended in 2008, they received a spin-off series titled, The Suite Life on Deck.

The brothers signed a licensing agreement in 2005 with Dualstar Entertainment to produce Sprouse Bros branded merchandise. This included a clothing line, comics series and more. In 2008, they ended their association with Dualstar, but continued to sell their clothing line until 2012.

In May 2009, Cole appeared with Dylan on the cover of People Magazine, in an eighty-page special edition issue for The Suite Life on Deck. They became the new face of Dannon Danimals in 2009. In August 2010, the brothers signed an endorsement deal with Nintendo DS.

In 2011, Cole along with his brother, were not acting in any projects and decided to focus on college. As well as focusing on photography. In mid-2011, Cole launched a website for his photography called Cole Sprouse Photography.

During January 2016, Cole was cast as Jughead Jones in The CW series Riverdale, which is based on the Archie Comics.
